Recommended Burning Practices:
Aways burn Votive candles in a standard Votive Jar.
Votive candles have been designed to burn and spill over into a votive jar. Burning them in a standard votive jar will ensure all the wax melts into the holder and is drawn up to the last drop.
Beeswax Votives have a minimum burn time of 4hrs.
Beeswax has a naturally high melting point, taking more time to melt than other waxes. With this in mind it is recommended to burn our Votives to a minimum of 4hr each time. This will ensure the wax has enough time to warm and melt into the holder and be drawn up the wick.
For shorter on/off burning times, our 'Dipped Taper' range is an excellent choice.
Always remove the metal wick holders before placing another votive refill into your Jar.
Removing the old wick holder can be dug out with a butter knife of spoon. This will ensure the new tea light sits flush with the base of the jar and draws up all available melted wax.
